Bijan Robinson carried the Atlanta Falcons to a primetime upset over the Buffalo Bills on “Monday Night Football” with a 170‑yard rushing night and 68 receiving yards in a 24–14 victory, totaling 238 yards from scrimmage and scoring on an 81‑yard run that flipped field position and momentum.
His rushing average came out to an astonishing 8.9 yards per carry, with the Buffalo game marking his season-high in rushing yards and extending a two‑game winning streak for the Falcons, who now sit at 3-2.
Following his dominant primetime performance, the NFL officially named Robinson the NFC Offensive Player of the Week on Wednesday.

Through six games, Robinson has 83 carries for 484 rushing yards (third in NFL) and two rushing TDs, plus 24 receptions for 338 receiving yards (second among NFL RBs) and one receiving TD, giving him a league-leading 822 total scrimmage yards, despite having played one fewer game than most teams (Week 5 bye).
What’s even crazier is that if he continues at his current pace (164.4 scrimmage yards per game), Robinson would finish the season with roughly 2,795 yards from scrimmage, which would smash the previous record of 2,509 yards set by former Tennessee Titans running back Chris Johnson in 2009.

The NFL’s Week 6 honors also included AFC Offensive Player of the Week honors for Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes after his four‑touchdown performance in Kansas City’s 30–17 win over the Detroit Lions.
Atlanta’s Week 7 trip takes them to San Francisco for “Sunday Night Football,” followed by a Week 8 home game against the Miami Dolphins on Oct. 26; both matchups are significant tests of the Falcons’ ability to sustain momentum on the road in hostile environments.
The 49ers are 4-2 after a 30-19 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, while the Dolphins are reeling at 1-5 following back-to-back single-score losses to the Carolina Panthers and Los Angeles Chargers.
