Do you think Bijan Robinson should be getting early-season MVP consideration right now? His performance against the Bills was eye-popping — like something straight out of a video game. The Falcons don’t win that game without him, and honestly, he’s been playing at that level all season. What are your thoughts — is it too early to put him in the MVP conversation, or is he truly emerging as that guy for Atlanta?

Robinson leads the NFL in total yards from scrimmage, with 822 yards this season. That is the fourth-most by a player in his team’s first five games of a season in the Super Bowl era.

I saw a note from SI’s Garrett Chapman this week that stated “Robinson can move into the top-5 for the most scrimmage yards by a player in his team’s first six games of a season in the Super Bowl era. If he hits his weekly average (164.4 YPG) on Sunday, he would move to third on this list. FWIW, Faulk, Holmes, and Murray all won the OPOY. Simpson finished runner-up.”

If the Falcons continue to win, I’d imagine a lot of the offensive success they have will be because of Robinson. Atlanta has made it no secret at all that this offense works through Robinson.

“Our team goes through Bijan Robinson,” Raheem Morris told Peter Schrager in the lead up to MNF.

Speaking of Schrager, he talked a lot about Robinson and a potential MVP nod on his podcast this week.

“I understand the MVP award now goes to quarterbacks. I get it,” Schrager said. “… But having seen Bijan Robinson up close against the reigning MVP Josh Allen on a nationally televised game with all of those legends in the building and in a big moment for Atlanta Falcons football, to perform the way he did, I would be shocked if come November, December we’re not talking about Bijan Robinson in the MVP conversation.”
