Tight ends to start in Week 7

Harold Fannin Jr. vs. Miami Dolphins

David Njoku missed Wednesday’s practice and is considered day to day. Given that Fannin’s role was already promising and likely growing, he’s a great candidate to take advantage of this opportunity.

Travis Kelce vs. Las Vegas Raiders

Kelce is not close to the dominant fantasy player he once was, but in a diminished tight end landscape, he’s still returning solid numbers.

Cade Otton at Detroit Lions

Without his top receivers, Baker Mayfield could look Otten’s way early and often. His targets have grown in three straight weeks, and they could see a big uptick on Sunday in a game that could go airborne.

Sleeper start — Mason Taylor vs. Carolina Panthers

I’d largely recommend staying away from the Jets’ offense, but Taylor is someone who has some upside if you’re in a pinch. He’s going up against a Panthers defense allowing the second-most points to the position and saw 12 targets in Week 5.

Sleeper start — Michael Mayer at Kansas City Chiefs

Mayer took advantage of Brock Bowers’ injury status against Tennessee, catching five passes for 50 yards and a touchdown. With a bye in Week 8, this could be Mayer’s last chance at big volume.

Falcons spotlight — Kyle Pitts at San Francisco 49ers

The Bills are second behind only the Falcons against tight ends this season, so Pitts’ low returns aren’t a big surprise. He should have an easier go against the 49ers, especially with Fred Warner out.
