Cincinnati Bengals keys to victory over Steelers in Week 7

The Bengals host the Steelers for Thursday Night Football to open Week 7.

Cincinnati Bengals starting quarterback Joe Burrow is on track to return to action in mid-December, according to a report from NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport before the start of the team’s NFL Week 7 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers at Paycor Stadium on Amazon Prime Video’s Thursday Night Football.

Burrow was on the Bengals’ sideline Thursday night, in a walking boot. Joe Flacco, 40, is making his second start for the Bengals against 41-year-old Aaron Rodgers of the Steelers, in a matchup Steelers defensive lineman Cam Heyward dubbed the “Icy Hot Bowl.”

Bengals head coach Zac Taylor said in September that the team hasn’t ruled out Burrow’s return this season.

Burrow suffered a turf-toe injury during the second quarter of the team’s home-opening NFL Week 2 game against Jacksonville.

Burrow had successful surgery to repair the injury, Taylor said Sept. 19 after practice. The procedure was performed by Dr. Norman Waldrop.
