On Wednesday, the NFL will release its regular-season schedule for 2025. There have been reports that this will be the date that quarterback Aaron Rodgers decides if he is going to play for the Pittsburgh Steelers or not. It’s been floated that the number of night games will dictate if Rodgers wants to play this season. Too many primetime games and he’s not going to bother.
NFL Network reporter Ian Rapoport talked about the Steelers current situation with Rodgers and even he seemed to be over the drama Rodgers is putting the Steelers through. Having said that, the Steelers have no one to blame but themselves.

“From the Steelers’ perspective, even with OTAs starting relatively soon, even with mandatory minicamp coming, they have no choice but just to wait and they are okay with that, as long as that ends up with Aaron Rodgers as their quarterback,” Rapoport said.
The real damage of all this is the Steelers are the laughing stock of the NFL as they sit and do nothing at the quarterback position and hope Rogers gives them his final rose. If Rodgers does drag this out and then decides to retire, it will be exactly what this franchise deserves.
