The Kingsburg Vikings baseball team split a two-game series against the Kerman Lions.
The Vikings fell to the Lions 6-5 on May 6, before earning a 6-1 win on May 8.
In the 6-5 loss on May 6, Gavin Ekizian and Vaughn Dill each finished with two RBIs. Blake Pallares added one.
In Kingsburg’s win in May 8, JT Sanchez and Elijah Durate each finished with two RBIs. Ekizian earned the win on the mound throwing a complete game and striking out 13 batters.
Kingsburg ended the regular season with a 7-1 loss on May 10 against Fowler High School.
The Vikings ended the regular season with a 18-10 overall record.
Playoff seedings will be announced on Wednesday, May 14.
Selma baseball
The Selma High Bears fell in both games of a two-game series to the Washington Union Panthers on May 7 and May 9.
The Bears lost game one of the series 2-0, then fell in game two 7-1.
Selma ends the regular season with a 16-9 overall record.
Kingsburg softball
The Kingsburg High Vikings softball team ended the regular season with a 12-12 overall record following 5-2 loss to Hanford West on May 7 and an 11-1 win over Selma High on May 9.
No stats were available for the loss to Hanford West.
In their win over Selma High on May 9, Alyanna Gonzales had a home run and four RBIs to lead the Vikings. Averie Croissant and Jillian Penner each finished with two RBIs. Emma Galaviz had the lone RBI for Selma.
