LINCOLN, Ill. — Quincy Notre Dame football came out to play on Saturday afternoon.
The Raiders defeated Lincoln 56-7 with several different players getting in the action.
Early on, it was the Gavin Doellman show as he returned the opening kickoff for a touchdown and caught a 66-yard touchdown pass on QND’s first actual offensive possession to put the Raiders up 14-0.
QND quarterback John Venvertloh threw three more touchdowns during the second quarter — a 23-yarder to Braden Smith, 13-yarder to Jace Allensworth and 57-yarder to Doellman.
Lincoln managed to score near the end of the second quarter on a 69-yard run by Seth Durbin, but QND still went to halftime with a 35-7 lead.
Venvertloh connected with Robbie Reed for two touchdown passes in the third quarter on a 10-yarder and 24-yarder.
With the running clock in effect, Kaden Marth threw a four-yard touchdown pass to Connor Flachs in the fourth quarter.
Venvertloh completed 9-of-12 passes for 167 yards and six touchdowns.
Doellman finished with four touchdowns overall.
