Player to steal: Best available – DE Myles Garret
Prediction: A battle of two of the worst teams in the NFL in which both will have losing seasons. Everyone sing – Not in the air, not on the ground were never in control and when you say Miami, you’re talking toilet bowl.
The Browns defense has been one of the better units in the NFL while their offense has averaged less than 14 points per game and are the league’s worst at scoring. The Dolphins have one of the worst defenses in the NFL and have been terrible against the run. Offensively, the OL continues to be a problem which has struggled to protect Tua who collapses under pressure.
The Dolphins can win this game if and I say if they can somehow control the Browns running game and keep it around 100 yds simply because the Browns passing game is so weak. The offense must protect Tua, get the running game going and score early. Force the Browns out of their run game tempo. Hopefully the game won’t be a nightmare for Tua if the OL can’t control Garrett which will be a difficult task.
I would normally pick the team with the better defense in this classic toilet bowl matchup however I’m going out on a very fragile limb and say that the Dolphins will be able to pull this one out. The Browns surpass their 14 points per game average however the Dolphins score a little bit more. If the Dolphins lose, HC and GM seats are going to get hot, hot hotter.
Note: The Dolphins should consider starting Ewers to see what they have in the rookie if Tua continues to throw picks and the losses pile up on this lost season. But they won’t.
Dolphins 26-20 – I’ll be making an appointment with a psychiatrist ASAP. 🤪
