NEW ORLEANS, La. (KCAU) – After going undrafted in the 2025 NFL Draft, West Sioux alum Hunter Dekkers has an NFL home.
The former Cyclone and Iowa Western signal-caller signed with the New Orleans Saints on Monday evening. Dekkers earned an invite to the team’s rookie camp this weekend, making the most of the opportunity by earning a roster spot.
Dekkers threw for 3,806 yards and 32 touchdowns in 13 games for the Reivers, who finished as the NJCAA 2024 National runner-up.
New Orleans’ quarterback depth chart was shaken up last week following the surprise retirement of 34-year-old starting QB Derek Carr.
