NFL films captured a postgame interaction between Davante Adams, Matthew Stafford, and the Jaguars’ Travis Hunter.
Following the Jacksonville Jaguars’ matchup in London this past Sunday with the LA Rams, NFL Films caught an interaction between Travis Hunter and the Rams’ Matthew Stafford and Davante Adams.
It was in this game that Hunter had a career day on offense.
With Liam Coen wanting to feature Hunter much more at receiver, he would play a career high 67 snaps. Hunter would also lead the Jaguars in targets, receptions, and yards, totaling eight receptions for 101 yards with a touchdown.
This was Hunter’s first NFL score and his first 100-yard game.
“Early on it was hard to get anybody into a rhythm offensively,” Coen said after the game, “and then, in the second half, there definitely was a plan going into the game that we wanted to utilize him more on the offensive side of the ball, specifically trying to get the ball into his hands, and then the first half was just kind of funky, the way we couldn’t get anybody the ball consistently and get into a rhythm.
“Then he was able to make some plays in the second half. Trevor was able to find him on some things that were obviously designed to go to him in some ways. So happy that he got his first touchdown, tough to see it come in that moment.”
Defensively, Hunter played only 14 snaps, but he did record a pass breakup on the one target that came his way while he was defending Adams.
With the bye week here for the Jaguars, Coen said that the team will evaluate Hunter’s playing time moving forward on both sides of the ball.
