Is cornerback help on the way for the Indianapolis Colts with the latest injury news?
Colts practice: CB Jaylon Jones is on the field on Day 1 of his activation window from IR. RT Braden Smith is out, presumably a rest day. No Tyquan Lewis (groin) is out today but is day to day.

Some cornerback help is on the way for the Indianapolis Colts.
Prior to Wednesday’s practice, head coach Shane Steichen announced that Jaylon Jones was designated to return from injured reserve.
In his first practice back, Jones was listed as a limited participant.
Jones suffered a hamstring injury in the Colts‘ Week 1 game against Miami. He has been on injured reserve since.
A hamstring injury also forced Jones to miss most of training camp.
With Jones designated to return from IR, that opens up a 21-day window for him to be added back to the 53-man roster. Once that happens, he can be available on Sundays.
As the Colts continue to navigate injuries at cornerback, getting Jones back in the mix would provide the Indianapolis defense with some much-needed depth at that position.
Jones was a starter for the Colts last season. He did not see any defensive snaps in Week 1, however. Given how much time he has missed between training camp and the regular season, it still remains to be seen how quickly he can acclimate to Lou Anarumo’s defensive scheme.
