The Cardinals have entered their bye week and will be, for the most part, off until next week. They are coming off their fifth consecutive loss.
Despite losing 27-23 at home on Sunday to the Green Bay Packers, the Cardinals did not fall in the latest NFL power rankings for Week 8 by USA TODAY’s Nate Davis.

The Cardinals and new NFL power rankings
After their loss in Week 6 to the Indianapolis Colts, the Cardinals fell all the way to No. 26 in the league.
Following their loss to the Packers, nothing changed. They did not fall any further, staying right at No. 26.
They’re the third team ever to lose five consecutive games by no more than four points apiece.
They are two spots behind the New York Giants, who blew a 19-point lead and allowed 33 points to the Denver Broncos in the fourth quarter in a 33-32 loss. So that stings a little, even though the Giants have been exciting to watch.
At this point, the Cardinals’ season is all but lost, at least in terms of competing for the postseason. They would have to go 8-2 in their final 10 games after the bye in the toughest part of their schedule.

But, being idle this week, there is one good thing — the Cardinals won’t lose this weekend.
