The New Orleans Saints had a relatively impressive 2025 NFL draft when it comes down to it, and now they have to go through the process of locking all these players down to their rookie deals. With the Day 2 players tending to take a bit longer, that has been the case once again this year, as the last two remaining without contracts now are from the draft’s second day.

Third-round safety Jonas Sanker has finalized his contract, as was reported by Sean Fazende for Fox 8 New Orleans. This leaves only Tyler Shough, their second-round quarterback, and Vernon Broughton, their third-round defensive tackle, left to complete their deals ahead of camps and the season.

Getting all of these contracts inked is just a matter of time, but getting all aside from two of them done pretty early into the post-draft process is a good sign. With the Saints in desperate need of an influx of young talent, getting all these players on the same page, under contract, and ready to go ahead of the camps and pre-season is always key. The contract is just the first part, as they look to work all summer towards their dreams of playing at the NFL level.
