It isn’t often the New Orleans Saints have been on the right side of an injury report — or it at least hasn’t felt that way. And that’s the case in Week 8 with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers coming to town. The Saints expect all five players listed on their injury report to dress out for Sunday’s game at the Caesars Superdome.
That group includes wide receiver Chris Olave (ankle), defensive end Chase Young (illness), tight end Juwan Johnson (neck), running back Alvin Kamara (ankle), and nose tackle Davon Godchaux (rest), all of whom were listed on the injury report at some point this week. Working without Pro Bowl center Erik McCoy after his season-ending biceps injury will be challenging, but for the most part the Saints are in good health.
Tampa Bay can’t say the same. The Buccaneers already ruled out four of their own between wide receiver Chris Godwin Jr. (fibula), guard Luke Haggard (shoulder), running back Bucky Irving (foot/shoulder) and outside linebacker Antoine Winfield Jr. (toe). A fifth player, star nose tackle Vita Vea (foot), is also questionable. A dozen other Buccaneers players were listed on the injury report this week while receiving some form of treatment, but they’re all expected to play on Sunday. Here’s the full list:
