The NFL trade deadline rumors have been dominating the Steel City headlines — as buzz continues to surround the Pittsburgh Steelers‘ predicted plan to target some top-tier wide receivers.

On Friday, Tony Pauline of Sportskeeda reported three wideouts that were linked to Pittsburgh ahead of the NFL trade deadline: Dolphins’ Jaylen Waddle, Titans’ Calvin Ridley, and RaidersJakobi Meyers.

“Two names I am hearing as trade targets are Jaylen Waddle of the Miami Dolphins and Calvin Ridley of the Tennessee Titans,” Pauline wrote. “According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, the Dolphins don’t plan on trading Waddle, but that could change if Miami continues to lose and the right deal is placed in front of them. Waddle’s contract, which has a huge number in 2027, could also be a hurdle teams must overcome. Ridley has not been very productive this season and won’t cost much in terms of draft picks.

“The other name to keep an eye on is Jakobi Meyers, who wants out of Las Vegas and whose name has consistently been linked to the Steelers. Sources tell me there is legitimacy on a Meyers to Pittsburgh deal, though other teams have inquired about the Raiders wideout.”

Waddle, a former 2021 first-round draft pick, would likely demand the most trade capital — while Ridley and Meyers may only cost the Steelers a Day 3 draft pick at most.
