In the extremely unlikely event the Cincinnati Bengals trade linebacker Logan Wilson, it’s probably obvious to the entire NFL where he’ll go.

The Indianapolis Colts, of course.

Wilson requested a trade from the Bengals this week while disgruntled over his getting benched. The team has aggressively benched players like Cam Taylor-Britt and Wilson due to performance issues amid a youth movement under new coordinator Al Golden.

If the Bengals move Wilson, he would surely like to end up under Colts defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo again, the guy he spent the bulk of his top years playing under in Cincinnati before the Bengals moved on last offseason.

In fact, former Bengals linebacker Germaine Pratt already signed with the Colts after quickly getting cut from his first non-Bengals team, so there’s precedent here.

All indications are that, despite the trade request, Wilson continues to be a positive influence on rookie linebackers Barrett Carter and Demetrius Knight while doing whatever the team asks. Bengals coaches have spoken highly of him despite the trade request, too, only adding to the idea that a trade won’t happen.

Still, the most likely trade partner is the Colts, as that Anarumo decision by Zac Taylor and the Bengals continues to remain in the spotlight this year.
