The Pittsburgh Steelers caught a much-needed break on Friday’s injury report ahead of their Week 8 matchup vs. the Green Bay Packers.
On the final injury report of Week 8, Steelers edge rusher T.J. Watt — who was limited Thursday with a hip injury — practiced fully on Friday and isn’t carrying an injury designation into Sunday Night Football vs. Green Bay.
Facing off against the No. 1 seed in the NFC, Watt’s absence would’ve spelled disaster for the Steelers in Week 8 — while Pittsburgh’s pass rush would’ve relied heavily on capable OLBs Nick Herbig and Alex Highsmith.
Watt’s condition will be worth monitoring, with any lingering hip issues potentially hampering his play as the Steelers host the Packers on October 26 at 8:20 p.m. EDT.
