After spending the 2024 season with the Cowboys, Amani Oruwariye is headed elsewhere in 2025.
The cornerback is signing with the Tennessee Titans in free agency, according to multiple reports.
Oruwariye was initially signed to the Cowboys’ practice squad last season, but ended up appearing in seven games for Dallas in 2024, including four starts.
In those seven games, he tallied an interception, three passes defended, 29 tackles and one tackle for loss, according to Pro Football Reference. In coverage, he was targeted 32 times and allowed 24 completions for 361 yards and two touchdowns. He played 286 snaps for the Cowboys on defense in 2024.

Oruwariye also tallied 29 snaps on special teams, and Cowboys fans may remember him from the Monday Night Football loss to the Bengals. Late in the game, Nick Vigil blocked a Bengals that would have seemingly all but won the game for the Cowboys. The blocked punt traveled past the line of scrimmage, making it a live ball. Oruwariye attempted to field the ball and drop it, which was, by rule, a fumble. This gave the Bengals the ball back, and three plays later, Joe Burrow found Ja’Marr Chase for a 40-yard, game-winning touchdown pass.

Oruwariye was fifth-round pick in the 2019 NFL draft out of Penn State, selected 146th overall by the Detroit Lions. In 2021 with Detroit, he finished third in the NFL with six interceptions. He spent the 2023 season with the Jacksonville Jaguars before landing in Dallas in 2024.
