The Washington Commanders (3-4) look to snap a two-game losing streak as they face the Kansas City Chiefs (4-3) in the Week 8 edition of Monday Night Football.

Marcus Mariota will make his third start at quarterback this season for Washington, replacing Jayden Daniels, who will miss tonight’s game with a hamstring injury. In Mariota’s two starts, the Commanders are averaging 34 points per game, so there has been no dropoff in performance with Mariota under center. Even better for Washington, it will get starting wide receivers Terry McLaurin and Deebo Samuel back.

While the Commanders have lost two in a row, the Chiefs have won two in a row and four of their last five. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes is having another MVP-like start to the season and recently got one of his top weapons back, as wide receiver Rashee Rice returned from suspension.

Chiefs 34, Commanders 24: The Commanders’ strategy on Monday night will be to limit the number of Kansas City possessions to keep Mahomes and their own defense off the field. Washington should be able to run the ball, especially with Terry McLaurin and Deebo Samuel back, dictating how defenses play the Commanders. Marcus Mariota will play well as Washington hangs in the game into the fourth quarter, but the defense can’t get enough stops, and Kansas City holds on for the win.Spread: Chiefs by 11 pointsOver/under: 48Moneyline: Chiefs -750
