Only hours after trading away one cornerback, the Titans have added another.
Tennessee on Monday claimed Micah Robinson, a seventh-round pick of Green Bay in April, off the Packers’ practice squad.
He will be counted on to help bolster the team’s numbers at corner, after the Titans sent starting nickel back Roger McCreary and a 2026 sixth-round pick to the Los Angeles Rams earlier Monday, in exchange for a 2026 fifth-round draft pick.
The Titans last week placed starting cornerback L’Jarius Sneed on injured reserve — meaning he will miss at least the next three contests — and last month traded starter Jarvis Brownlee Jr. to the New York Jets.
The addition of Robinson means four of the five cornerbacks on the Titans’ 53-man roster have been added via claims. Tennessee added Darrell Baker Jr., Jalyn Armour-Davis and Samuel Womack III off waivers over the last two seasons, while Robinson was on the Packers’ practice squad.
The other Titans cornerback on the 53-man roster is rookie Marcus Harris, while the team also has two corners on the practice squad: Alex Johnson and Sam Webb.
Harris may get the first crack at filling McCreary’s role as the slot corner, though he played almost strictly on the outside last season at Cal, as well in the preseason this year.
“You love the way [Harris] comes out and prepares and plays, the chip on the shoulder he plays with,” Titans interim head coach Mike McCoy said. “You see the progress that he’s made, and so I’m excited to see him play.”
The 5-11, 183-pound Robinson made Green Bay’s initial 53-man roster, but was later waived and signed to the practice squad. He was elevated to the active roster for two games this season, but didn’t get any snaps before reverting to the practice squad.
In the preseason, Robinson played 97 snaps over three games, earning a 66.1 overall defensive grade from Pro Football Focus — 69.2 against the run and 64.4 in pass coverage. He played 90 snaps as an outside corner and seven inside the box.
Robinson played last season for Tulane after spending his first four years at Furman.
He was a second team American Athletic Conference selection in 2024, after totaling 33 tackles, two interceptions (one returned for a touchdown), a team-high eight passes defensed and one forced fumble.
Robinson played 405 snaps as an outside corner for Tulane last season, per PFF, and just six as a nickel corner.
The Georgia native, who ran a 4.42 40-yard dash at his pro day, was ranked the 50th-best cornerback prospect in the draft by The Athletic.
Note: Former Titans wide receiver Tyler Lockett, who was released by the team earlier this month, signed Monday with the Las Vegas Raiders. He will be reunited with his former Seattle teammate, quarterback Geno Smith, and former Seahawks coach, Pete Carroll.
