It feels like the Philadelphia Eagles might have gotten their swagger back, and that’s important for an organization that’s looking to win another Super Bowl.
The Eagles came away with an impressive 38-20 win against their biggest rival, the New York Giants, in Week 8.

It was a great win from top to bottom, with Jalen Hurts once again showing that he needs much more respect than many are willing to give him, throwing for four touchdowns on just 20 passes. Star running back Saquon Barkley had his best game of the season, and his best game in nearly nine months, rushing for 150 yards and a touchdown on 14 carries.
Unfortunately, however, Barkley was sidelined late in the game due to an injury.
All Eagles fans were a bit worried, given just how much he means to this offense.
However, according to the latest report from Ian Rappaport of NFL Network, if the game had been closer, he believes Barkley would’ve been back in. That’s all Eagles fans needed to hear at this point.

“Saquon Barkley, you saw the big run there,” Rapoport said. “He had another big day for the Philadelphia Eagles. He left the game with a groin injury. My understanding is had the game been a little closer, it is likely that Saquon would’ve returned. That is an indication that is is not a major injury and really not something to worry about for the Philadelphia Eagles. The bye is coming so Saquon, you would think, would be okay with that groin injury.”
As the season continues, the Eagles have to continue playing the way they did on Sunday.
Things won’t get easy at all for Philadelphia over the next few weeks, taking on the Green Bay Packers, Detroit Lions, Dallas Cowboys, Chicago Bears, and Los Angeles Chargers all in back-to-back games after this bye week coming up.
I still believe the Eagles are one of the best teams in the NFL, and the top team in the NFC. If they can keep playing the way they did in Week 8, I don’t see many teams beating them.
