The Cincinnati Bengals have joined the Arizona Cardinals as teams that inexplicably lost games to teams way down deep in the Power Rankings. The Bengals fell to the winless Jets, 39-38, in a stunner. Add that to Arizona’s loss to Tennessee and you know why they say anything can happen on any given Sunday. Meanwhile, the Broncos lead the AFC West but they had better watch out because there is team that wears red in the division that has caught fire. The Chiefs are rolling again and look to have found whatever little might have been lost.

The Titans are well on their way to becoming the first team to pick first overall in the NFL draft since the 2017-18 Cleveland Browns.

The Saints are simply terrible. And, there is potential for the worst game of the year. On Dec. 28, the New Orleans Saints travel to Tennessee to face the Titans.

Good on Aaron Glenn getting his first win. A reward is going into a bye. That said, the Bengals basically gift-wrapped the game.

Where did that come from? The Dolphins crushed the Falcons. Maybe Stephen Ross knows what he has in Chris Grier and Mike McDaniel. Will how see long it lasts with the Ravens up on Thursday night.

New York Giants running back Cam Skattebo is carted off the field with a leg injury.

Painful loss for the Giants as the Eagles gained revenge for the upset earlier in the season and New York lost Cam Skattebo for the season with a gruesome ankle injury.

25. Cleveland Browns (2-6)Cleveland Browns quarterback Dillon Gabriel passes the ball during the fourth quarter.

Cleveland Browns quarterback Dillon Gabriel passes the ball during the fourth quarter.

The Browns are comfortably situated in their familiar home, again, last in the AFC North. Myles Garrett had five sacks against New England and it mattered not for Cleveland.

24. Atlanta Falcons (3-4)Kirk Cousins of the Atlanta Falcons looks on after his team's 34-10 loss against the Miami Dolphins.

Kirk Cousins of the Atlanta Falcons looks on after his team’s 34-10 loss against the Miami Dolphins.

Kirk Cousins didn’t exactly increase his value in a possible trade at the deadline against the Dolphins, did he? That was one ugly game.

23. Cincinnati Bengals (3-5)New York Jets running back Breece Hall (20) dives for a touchdown in the fourth quarter of the NFL Week 8 game between the Cincinnati Bengals and the New York Jets at Paycor Stadium in downtown Cincinnati on Sunday, Oct. 26, 2025.

New York Jets running back Breece Hall (20) dives for a touchdown in the fourth quarter of the NFL Week 8 game between the Cincinnati Bengals and the New York Jets at Paycor Stadium in downtown Cincinnati on Sunday, Oct. 26, 2025.

The temptation was to drop the Bengals way down in the Power Rankings. That said, they did put up 38 points in the loss to the Jets. Unfortunately, the sieve of a defense allowed 39. Hey, they still are second in the AFC North!

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver George Pickens makes a catch against Denver Broncos cornerback Pat Surtain II.

Speaking of a defense that is like a sieve, Dallas was decimated by Denver. Yes, the Cowboys are ravaged by injuries on the defensive side of the ball but that was embarrassing. No stopping anything.

21. Carolina Panthers (4-4)Carolina Panthers quarterbacks Andy Dalton (14) and Bryce Young (9) on the sideline.

Carolina Panthers quarterbacks Andy Dalton (14) and Bryce Young (9) on the sideline.

Carolina missed Bryce Young — hard to believe — against the Bills. The Panthers are still second in the NFC South, which isn’t a bad place to be. How they are 4-4 while being outscored by 38 points shows how inconsistent this team is.

20. Washington Commanders (3-5)Washington Commanders wide receiver Terry McLaurin celebrates after a touchdown against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Washington Commanders wide receiver Terry McLaurin celebrates after a touchdown against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Washington stayed with Kansas City for a half, but Marcus Mariota wasn’t about to beat Patrick Mahomes. And the battered Commanders defense had no chance against the great QB in the second half.

Paging J.J. McCarthy. Carson Wentz’s time as Minnesota’s starter appears over and not a game too soon. It was a tough choice to let Sam Darnold go when the Vikes had a first-round pick coming off injury, but this team could rue the choice for years.

The Bears stumbled in Baltimore. The Ravens came in as a 1-5 team and still had Tyler Huntley at QB. That said, Chicago could not win its fifth in a row when the opportunity was great.

The Ravens are No. 16 with a bullet. They chilled the Bears for their second win. They also hope to have Lamar Jackson back on Thursday against the Dolphins. Will be important to watch if this win was the start of a surge.

The Steelers are coming back to the pack in the AFC North. Kind of odd that there was a buzz last week Pittsburgh was interested in having Aaron Rodgers back for the future. He isn’t getting any younger.

The offense got its act together against the Niners. The Texans must use this momentum going forward. They should be able to climb over the Jaguars but catching the Colts will be a huge task.

All was right for the Bolts as they put it together against the Vikings. That said, it was against a backup quarterback. However, the defense looked good. And Justin Herbert had a big game.

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Jahan Dotson celebrates with teammates after scoring a touchdown against the New York Giants.

Saquon Barkley broke loose and the Eagles taught the Giants that the upset weeks earlier was not about to happen again. The A.J. Brown saga bears watching as the trade deadline approaches. Both player and team would do well to mend fences.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Emeka Egbuka catches a pass under pressure from New Orleans Saints cornerback Alontae Taylor.

The Tampa Bay defense had its way with the Saints, chasing Spencer Rattler. Offensively, Baker Mayfield and the Bucs were not great. Did anyone think Tez Johnson would be their leading receiver in a game in 2025?

The Chiefs took apart the Commanders in the second half. There were issues on the first couple of drives, but once KC found its groove, Washington had no answers. For the third consecutive week, the Chiefs remain the best of the NFL’s best.
