So it feels like training camp all over again. Another quarterback battle, even though Kellen Moore didn’t say that after the game, but it just feels like it. The offense is just struggling big time since that Chicago Bears game until the halftime of this game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Saints turned the ball over 7 times. That’s why they made *** switch from Spencer Rattler to Tyler Shuck just to give this team *** little bit of *** spark. Try to create something that felt *** little different, uh, see if it would provide us with the urgency to execute at *** higher level and play cleaner football and. Um, there’s some little moments in there, some good plays, but, uh, not enough collectively. No nerves. I think I, you know, prep preparation wise, um, body wise was feeling good, so, um, just was going out there and doing, doing everything I can. Like I said, we’ll continue to kind of get in the groove, get better, but, um, but yeah, I mean it was it was ready to go and just gotta continue to keep building. So is Spencer Rattler *** little surprised by the decision for Moore to change quarterbacks? *** little bit, but you know, hey, no, no bad feelings at all with with Kellen, you know, he’s, that’s my guy. He’s awesome, um, he’s been awesome all year and uh you know we haven’t really gotten anything going on offense, um, you know, the last two weeks, so you know, hey. Understood. Just gotta show back up and figure out what we need to get better at. As for moving forward, will it be Tyler Shuck or Spencer Rattler taking snaps when the Saints take on the Rams? I think we just got to evaluate this whole thing in the next 48 hours on offense, uh, find the solutions that give us the best chance to win. Tyler went in there and you know, he looked the part. He, he made some plays, uh, the one interception was unfortunate, uh, gave us *** chance to convert there. And so, uh, you know, we’ll we’ll obviously make that evaluation here quickly and make some decisions moving forward. So if Moore does indeed go with Tyler Shuck next week against the Rams, is he ready to be the starting quarterback? 0 100%, yeah, I feel ready. I felt ready um every single week, you know, obviously it’s good to to get there and get some reps, but you know, like I said before, we gotta continue to have that sense of urgency, um, to continue to grow and do everything we can to win. So the last time the Saints did not score *** touchdown in *** home game, you gotta go back to 2023. Against, you guessed it, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Saints lost that game 26 to 9 in the Superdome. Sharif Ishak, WDSU News.
