There’s been lots of discussion surrounding head coach Aaron Glenn’s job security following a winless 0-7 start. On Sunday, the resilient Jets proved Glenn hasn’t lost the locker room as they continue to compete hard for their first-year coach. The Jets overcame a sizable deficit to stun the Bengals.

It was quite the week for starting quarterback Justin Fields, who was peculiarly on the receiving end of a public lashing by team owner Woody Johnson. Fields was supposed to be benched, but scheduled starter Tyrod Taylor suffered a midweek injury. He responded by leading the offense to an exciting come-from-behind victory.

The offense had to overcome another lackluster showing by Glenn’s defense. Joe Flacco threw for 223 yards and two touchdowns. Bengals running back Chase Brown averaged 7.6 yards per carry as Zac Taylor’s ground attack accumulated 181 rushing yards. The defense allowed 30-plus points for the fourth time in eight outings.
