Good news comes for both the Baltimore Ravens and Miami Dolphins as we turn the page from Week 8. We were denied the Lamar Jackson comeback we had been waiting for in Week 8 versus the Chicago Bears. Fortunately, we’re discussing ‘delay’, not denial. QB1 is trending towards playing in Week 9.

Jackson was a full participant in Monday’s practice. No Ravens coach, player, or fan will complain after hearing that. After taking a quick trip behind enemy lines, we’ve learned the Dolphins have gotten some good news, too.

Bradley Chubb was one of five Miami stars who didn’t participate in Monday’s practice. Shoulder and foot issues were listed as the reason. Ashtyn Davis (quadricep), Storm Duck (knee), Dee Eskridge (shoulder), and Julian Hill (ankle) are the other four.

No one wishes injuries on anyone, but let’s be honest. A Miami defense without Chubb makes Baltimore’s path to victory easier, but don’t get your hopes up. He has already announced he expects to play.

Chubb is one-half of one of the league’s premier pass-rushing duos. Paired with Jalelan Phillips, they make Miami’s opponents think more than they probably want to. Make no mistake. Getting Lamar Jackson back in the lineup is uber-important.

Baltimore’s defense has improved over the past two weeks. If that continues, they’ll beat a lot of teams, especially with Action Jackson back in the fold. Our guess? The Ravens should be good enough to beat Miami with or without Chubb in the lineup.
