Former Los Angeles Rams cornerback Troy Hill is heading back home – not to play for the Rams, but to begin his coaching career.
St. Bonaventure High School in Ventura, Calif., announced on Tuesday that Hill has been hired as the new head football coach. Hill graduated from St. Bonaventure in 2010 before going north to the University of Oregon where he played his college football.
“This is where it all started for me,” Hill said in a statement. “St. Bonaventure gave me the discipline, support, and faith to believe in something bigger than myself. I’m excited to give back by helping shape the next generation – not just as athletes, but as young men of character and conviction.”
Hill had two different stints with the Rams, first from 2016-2020 and then again in 2022. He played 82 games with the Rams during his six years with the team, intercepting eight passes with two pick-sixes. After leaving the Rams in 2023, he played a year and a half with the Panthers and finished the 2024 season with the Buccaneers.
Hill’s last NFL game came in Week 13 of 2024 as a member of the Buccaneers, with his last defensive snaps coming in Week 6 when he was with the Panthers.
