Logan Wilson has company.
Jackson was the Bengals’ third-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft out of Texas A&M, joining fellow defensive tackle Kris Jenkins, who was selected in the second round. The pair were selected to help fill the void left by DJ Reader, who was a major part of Lou Anarumo’s ‘21 and ‘22 championship defenses.
While Jenkins has been able to at least be a rotational tackle in the front of Al Golden’s defense, Jackson has not. Despite flashing several times in the last few games of the 2024 season, Jackson has played just six snaps in 2025 under Golden and has been a healthy scratch for much of this season, despite how poorly the defense has performed.
Considering the team has a day-two pick in him, and the fact Golden’s defense is ranked near or at the bottom of most major defensive categories, it is strange Jackson hasn’t gotten any time on the field.
The trade deadline is November 4. Stay tuned as this story develops.
