The Miami Dolphins running back lost his cool on Thursday Night Football in a 28-6 loss to the Baltimore Ravens.
Ollie Gordon II was incorrectly called for tripping, wiping out a long 36-yard pass from quarterback Tua Tagovailoa to Jaylen Waddle.

The 15-yard penalty set the Dolphins back and eventually forced a punt. When Gordon returned to the sideline, associate head coach and running backs coach Eric Studesville let him have it.
Gordon was clearly frustrated with the penalty and heated in the moment, as Amazon cameras captured the rookie lashing out and yelling back at his coach.
It was a tough look for Gordon, but he’s hard to blame, as it was objectively the wrong call and came at a crucial moment, with Miami already trailing by two scores in the second quarter and looking for any momentum.
Broadcast’s rules analyst, Terry McAulay, joined Al Michaels and Kirk Herbstreit on the mic and flat out disagreed with the penalty.
“I didn’t see his leg whip or any trip at all,” Herbstreit said.
McAulay agreed.
“Kirk, it’s not a foul,” McAulay said plainly. “He gets him with the lower part of his rear-end, torso, or whatever. He doesn’t raise his leg, it’s an incorrect call.”
Fans agreed, calling out the standard of officiating on social media and blasting the egregious call.
“One of the worst calls ever,” posted one fan.
“My goodness. Does not get worse than this. Wipes out a huge Miami play,” said another.

“Refs out here throwing flags like it’s performance art,” a third joked.
“This is clearly a horrible call that completely changes the outcome of not only this drive but most likely the game. Allowing calls like this to stand is why everyone believes the nfl is closer to WWE than ever before,” wrote a fourth.
Gordon returned later in the quarter but went back to the locker room shortly after due to an ankle injury.
Meanwhile, the lowly Dolphins are trying anything and everything to turn their season around but nothing has worked as they now sit at a lowly 2-7 and dead last in the AFC East.
Head coach Mike McDaniel has been perpetually on the hot seat, and their star wide receiver Tyreek Hill has been lost for the year.
In other words, it’s been a season from hell for Miami, which is what it once looked like for Baltimore, but all of a sudden things are looking up.
Thursday night marked the return of two-time league MVP Lamar Jackson for the Ravens, who had missed the last three games with a hamstring injury.
As bad as the Ravens’ start to the year was, they have the opportunity to turn it around, now sitting at 3–5 with two straight wins, with Jackson back at the helm in an abnormally weak AFC North.
The Steelers lead the way at just 4–3 and still have to play the Ravens twice. The Bengals sit at 3–5, while the Browns are a dumpster fire at 2–6.
As the season nears November, Baltimore is in the thick of the race, but for Miami, it might be time to start packing their bags. With Jackson, anything is possible. With McDaniel, a pink slip all but awaits him at season’s end.
