KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A pair of key players on the Kansas City Chiefs’ offense have officially been ruled out as the Chiefs prepare to take on the Buffalo Bills Sunday.
Josh Simmons, who hasn’t played or practiced with the team since Week 5, was ruled out once again on Friday. He’s still dealing with the personal issue that’s been kept under wraps, but has drawn a great deal of speculation.

However, another vital part of the Chiefs’ offense won’t be on the field Sunday either.
Running back Isaiah Pacheco was ruled out with an MCL sprain he suffered against the Washington Commanders in Week 8. He didn’t practice all week, so his absence shouldn’t come as a surprise – especially when considering the nature of his injury.
In turn, the Chiefs will look to veteran Kareem Hunt, who’s been no stranger to the endzone as of late, and rookie Brashard Smith to pick up the slack in Pacheco’s stead.
Additionally, two others on the offense were listed as questionable.

Left tackle Jaylon Moore had been filling in for Simmons while the rookie LT handled his personal matter. However, Moore is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game with an illness that’s kept him out of practice all week.
If Moore is forced to sit on Sunday, Wanya Morris could fill in. Morris has experience as a third-year tackle, but hasn’t proved himself as a starter by any means, as the Chiefs continue to invest capital in the position.

That’s not all, either. Offensive guard Trey Smith is questionable as well with the same back spasms that kept him out of Week 8. Mike Caliendo filled in for Smith vs. the Commanders, but struggled.

On Friday, Head Coach Andy Reid was asked if he thought Smith would suit up on Sunday, to which he responded, “Yeah.”
