Lamar Jackson has joined Pro Football Hall-of-Fame Peyton Manning in the NFL record books after recording yet another game with what one can only describe as a video game-type stat line.

Jackson led the Baltimore Ravens to a 28-6 victory on Thursday Night Football in Week 9 against the Miami Dolphins, and it’s hard not to be impressed by Jackson’s stats from the victory. The multi-time NFL Pro Bowl and All-Pro selection and two-time NFL MVP showed once again why he’s one of the best quarterbacks in the league, going 18-of-23 passing for 204 yards and four touchdowns and zero interceptions. He also added 14 yards on the ground with five carries.

But what’s even more impressive about that stat line is how rare it is for many quarterbacks to do something Jackson did against the Dolphins – and how many times the eight-year NFL veteran has pulled it off in his professional career. With his effort on Thursday in the win over Miami, Jackson managed four passing touchdowns while throwing just five incompletions. That is the sixth time in Jackson’s career he’s thrown four or more touchdowns while also completing five or fewer passes, tying him with Manning for the most such games in NFL history by a quarterback.

Of course, Manning achieved those numbers over 18 NFL seasons – 10 fewer than Jackson has played. The other quarterbacks who round out the top five for such games in their careers are Drew Brees and Tom Brady (five each) and Aaron Rodgers (four games) – all three achieved the accomplishment over the course of 20-or-more NFL seasons.
