GREEN BAY — Whatever the Halloween equivalent of being a bah-humbug is, Matt LaFleur is apparently it.

The Green Bay Packers coach was talking Friday about the team’s annual costume Halloween — or his lack of interest in it.

Earlier in the day, he had been talking with his chief of staff, Darryl Franklin, about the holiday — as the Packers (5-1-1) were finishing their final preparations for Sunday’s matchup with the Carolina Panthers (4-4) at Lambeau Field — and when the subject came up during his pre-practice Q&A session with reporters, LaFleur let his feelings be known.

“I was like, ‘I don’t give a [expletive] if it’s Halloween, all right?” LaFleur told reporters. “We’re trying to win a game — period.”

The Packers chances of winning that football game will be easier if linebacker Quay Walker is available for it.

LaFleur listed Walker, who did not practice on Thursday because of a calf injury but practiced on a limited basis on Friday, as questionable for the game, although he struck an encouraging tone about Walker playing.

“He was feeling a little something [on Thursday], so we were a little bit cautious with him,” LaFleur said. “The plan and goal is, he’ll be going through [practice] and just see how he feels.”

Walker leads the Packers in tackles and is the on-field communicator who relays defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley’s calls to the huddle. If Walker can’t go, the Packers would likely turn to Isaiah McDuffie to wear the green-dot helmet communication device.

The Packers also listed kicker Brandon McManus, who was listed as a full participant in Friday’s practice, was questionable as well, although signs point to him playing, too.

The Packers ruled out defensive end Lukas Van Ness (foot), wide receiver Dontayvion Wicks (calf) and linebacker/core special-teams player Nick Niemann (pectoral) for the game.

Running back Josh Jacobs (calf), receiver Christian Watson (knee), defensive tackle Devonte Wyatt (knee), starting offensive linemen Aaron Banks (shin), Jordan Morgan (illness) and Zach Tom (back), and quarterback Malik Willis (ankle) were all removed from the injury report and will play.
