Kelee Ringo could serve as collateral if the Eagles and Dolphins do indeed explore a trade.

Random note: Dolphins interim GM Champ Kelly was the Raiders assistant GM when the team hosted CB Kelee Ringo on a top-30 visit.

Ringo could use a fresh start and Miami certainly needs help at CB.

Could Ringo be involved in a trade for Jaelan Phillips or Bradley Chubb? 🤔 pic.twitter.com/UyWfwbioa1

The stars, coaches, and executives of every NFL team have long known that their employers aren’t the most patient. The desire to win is higher than ever. Frustration bubbles when it doesn’t happen fast enough, or, in the case of the Philadelphia Eagles, when winning doesn’t occur in the manner we expect.

Forget giving guys 17 games, especially executives and coaches. That’s a thing of the past. At the NCAA level, we have seen historic buyouts following the firings of coaches. In the NFL, we’ve seen early and midseason firings.

One of the latest has occurred in the AFC East. Mike McDaniel’s leash seems shorter now, but the Miami Dolphins have announced that they have agreed to mutually part ways with now-former general manager Chris Grier. What does that have to do with the Eagles, you ask? Well, thank you for answering the question.

Might Kelee Ringo’s name begin to gain some buzz as a potential trade piece?

Now is the time to strike. This is when Howie Roseman should make planned calls to the Dolphins organization. Interim GM Champ Kelly is serving in a new role while Miami becomes a team in transition.

‘Interim’ is defined as temporary, provisional, or a period of time in between events. Miami could search for a new GM, or Kelly can try to make his mark and prove that he’s the man deserving of taking the job for himself.

The Dolphins have been mentioned as a team that may be sellers at the trade deadline, one scheduled for November 4th at 4 p.m. EST. Here are two things to consider. First, the Eagles have been mentioned more than once as possible suitors looking to add one of Miami’s talented pass rushers. It’s a move that would make sense as Vic Fangio is familiar with Jaelan Phillips and Bradley Chubb.

Second, Kelee Ringo’s name isn’t one we’ve often mentioned as a potential trade piece, but maybe we should. Champ Kelly and Ringo and the third-year Eagles star have history, dating back to a visit they shared when Kelly was the Las Vegas Raiders‘ assistant GM.

The Dolphins do need help at cornerback. Jack Jones and Rasul Douglas rest at the top of their depth chart. With Jason Marshall Jr. injured, does that mean Minkah Fitzpatrick is their nickel?

Many questions need answers in Miami. It isn’t our job to answer them, but we can ask a few. One has been circulating with all the lines being drawn, connecting the dots representing the Eagles and the Dolphins. Should Ringo be dangled as trade bait? See another line… Time will tell if Howie Roseman contacts Miami and if he and Kelly decide to connect the dots.
