The Tennessee Titans (1-7) will take on the Los Angeles Chargers (5-3) this Sunday afternoon at Nissan Stadium in their ninth game of the 2025 regular season.

Opening the week, the Titans were listed as 10-point home underdogs, but that spread has softened slightly with Tennessee at +9.5 as of this writing.

How does the Titans Wire staff see this Week 9 battle shaking out? Here’s a look at our picks and score predictions.

Mark Mihalko: Chargers 33, Titans 20

Tennessee comes out strong and takes an early first-quarter lead against a sluggish Chargers unit that comes out flat. Unfortunately, it won’t last, and after some halftime adjustments, the Chargers storm back behind Justin Herbert and dominate the second half against an undermanned Titans’ defense.

Dan Benton: Chargers 26, Titans 16

It’s going to be another rough day for the Titans, even if they have a slight pre-kickoff advantage over the traveling Los Angeles Chargers. That may result in a fast start for Tennessee, but as we’ve seen in recent weeks, it will be misleading. Ultimately, the solid Chargers offense led by quarterback Justin Herbert will be more than the rebuilding Titans can handle, with Los Angeles pulling away late.

Bryan Manning: Chargers 31, Titans 13

Another week, another game where the Titans are a huge underdog. The Chargers play good defense, so Cam Ward will have his work cut out for him, especially if Tennessee can’t get anything from the running game. Defensively, I see no way the Titans slow down Justin Herbert & Co. The Chargers win easily.

Tyler Henry: Chargers 24, Titans 10

The way the Titans have been giving up points all season long — and especially in the last two weeks — I find it hard to believe they will be able to keep up with Justin Herbert and the Chargers offense. This one could get out of reach in a hurry, and I expect the Chargers to take care of business pretty easily in this one.

Joel Titus: Chargers 34, Titans 17

The Titans’ offense has shown improvement since Mike McCoy has taken over, but this defense is a mess, and it feels like it’s lacking any modicum of talent it ever had this season. This doesn’t bode well with an elite quarterback and offense coming to town. I do, however, see Herbert and Ward throwing for over 250-plus yards each. I like Chimere Dike to break 100 yards receiving this weekend, too. However, I think the Chargers’ rushing attack will be too much for the Titans’ defense and that will be the difference maker.
