Detroit Lions DE Aidan Hutchinson on playing over 90% of snaps

Detroit Lions DE Aidan Hutchinson said he trusts his coaches to know when he needs a break and will take himself out if he can’t give 100%.

Daniel Thomas will spend at least one more week on injured reserve with a broken forearm.

The Detroit Lions downgraded Thomas to out for Sunday’s game against the Minnesota Vikings, leaving him on IR in his return from September surgery.

Thomas returned to practice this week and was listed as questionable on the Lions‘ weekly injury report. The Lions have two more weeks to activate Thomas to the 53-man roster or keep him on IR for the rest of the year.

With a relatively healthy roster coming off last week’s bye, the Lions made just one other roster move Saturday, elevating linebacker Ty Summers from the practice squad to the gameday roster.

On Friday, the Lions ruled out safety Kerby Joseph (knee), running back Craig Reynolds (hamstring) and linebacker Malcolm Rodriguez (knee) because of injury, and listed Taylor Decker (shoulder), Avonte Maddox (hamstring), Sione Vaki (groin) and Thomas as questionable.

Decker is expected to start, while Summers could fill a role on special teams.
