With the NFL trade deadline less than 72 hours away, teams are reportedly interested in a pair of Seattle Seahawks defensive players.

According to a report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter on Saturday night, teams have inquired to the Seahawks about the availability of edge rusher Boye Mafe and cornerback Riq Woolen.

The Seahawks haven’t wanted to trade Mafe or Woolen, Schefter reported.

The NFL trade deadline is at 1 p.m. Tuesday.

Mafe and Woolen are part of Seattle’s talented 2022 draft class, which also includes left tackle Charles Cross, running back Kenneth Walker III, right tackle Abraham Lucas and safety Coby Bryant. Those six players are in the final year of their rookie contracts, and the Seahawks likely won’t be able to afford to keep all of them long-term.

Mafe had 3.0 sacks as a rookie, 9.0 sacks in 2023 and 6.0 sacks in 2024. He hasn’t recorded a sack yet this season, but he ranks 10th among edge rushers in ESPN’s pass rush win rate.

Woolen, a 2022 Pro Bowler, has been the subject of trade speculation for the past month. The ultra-athletic 6-foot-4 corner has had an up-and-down tenure with the Seahawks, featuring both flashes of tantalizing potential and an array of head-scratching mistakes.

Woolen has had a rough season, including a costly sequence in Week 1 when he misplayed a pair of passes on the San Francisco 49ers’ game-winning touchdown drive in the closing minutes.
