Chicago Bears tight end Cole Kmet suffered an apparent head or neck injury during the second quarter of the team’s NFL Week 9 game against the Cincinnati Bengals at Paycor Stadium.
Kmet was injured on a tackle by Bengals rookie linebacker Barrett Carter. He was helped off the field to the blue medical tent after a scary collision with Carter.
Kmet went to the Bears’ locker room before halftime. The Bears announced Kmet was evaluated for a possible concussion.
Kmet was limited in practice Wednesday and Thursday because of a back injury.
Kmet entered the game with nine catches for 132 receiving yards with a touchdown through six games this season.
