Midway through the 2025 NFL season, the Denver Broncos are sitting in first place in the AFC West with a 7-2 record.
The Los Angeles Chargers (6-3) defeated the Tennessee Titans on Sunday, but they’re still a game behind Denver. The Kansas City Chiefs (5-4) lost to the Buffalo Bills and the Las Vegas Raiders (2-6) lost to the Jacksonville Jaguars.
If not for a leverage penalty against the Indianapolis Colts (7-2) in Week 2, the Broncos would be the No. 1 seed in the AFC. Instead, Denver’s currently the No. 3 seed behind the Colts and New England Patriots (7-2).
There are two more games remaining to wrap up Week 9, but both primetime games feature NFC clubs. So, here’s a look at the AFC’s playoff picture going into Week 10.

Up next on the Broncos’ schedule is a Thursday Night Football showdown with the Raiders on Nov. 6.
