The Buffalo Bills (6-2) slipped up a bit when they lost two-straight games heading into their Week 7 bye, but since then, the Bills have locked back in.
Following an easy win over the Carolina Panthers, Buffalo had one of their most important matchups of the season against QB Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs (5-4), but the Bills outlasted their AFC opponent.

The Bills beat the Chiefs on Sunday 28-21 where the second quarter was the highlight of the game before a second half in which both teams were just trying to hang on for the win. Buffalo received a solid performance out of quarterback Josh Allen, but running back James Cook is well on his way to being an All-Pro while tight end Dalton Kincaid finally had his breakout game of the season.
Even if the Chiefs (5-4) don’t look like they’re making the most impressive plays that someone has ever seen on the football field, they always find a way to stay in a game until the end, but Buffalo did a good job of limiting the impact of Kansas City’s passing attack.
With that, here is Bills Wire’s stock report following Sunday’s win over the Chiefs:
Stock Up: RB James Cook

Even when the Bills have struggled to move the ball this season, Cook has always been there to step up when the team needs to make a play on the ground or through the air. In this one, Cook did his damage on the ground and that’s okay because he ran the ball 27 times for 114 yards, showing once again the kind of workhorse he has been since the season began.

Stock Down: WR Keon Coleman

It’s hard to find complain when the Bills are sitting with a 6-2 record heading into Week 10, especially after they have beaten one of their main rivals in the Chiefs. However, when it comes to Coleman, it is noticeable how he is not making the plays that he was during his rookie year when he has already caught as many passes as he did last season, but is still almost 300 yards shy of his rookie receiving total.
Stock Up: S Cole Bishop

Bishop has been one of the best players on a Bills defense that is looking to correct the issues of the past by being reliable down the stretch of games, especially against teams like the Chiefs. Bishop did his work in run support as he racked up seven tackles (four solo), but he was also all over the field in the passing game and racked up four pass deflections at the same time.

Stock Down: DE AJ Epenesa

At this point, it seems that Epenesa is more feast or famine than anything else when he has games like this following impressive performances like the one he had against the Panthers. Granted, Epenesa was able to get to Patrick Mahomes, demonstrating the pressure that he was applying all game, but to come away from this contest with no tackles is hard to fathom given his ability.
Stock Up: TE Dalton Kincaid

As mentioned above, Kincaid had one of his best outings not only of this season, but in his entire career as he has been one of the players that Allen can rely on to make plays in the passing game. Kincaid caught all six of his targets for 101 yards and one touchdown, representing the second time that he has surpassed 100 receiving yards this season along with his fourth touchdown of the 2025 campaign.

Stock Up: WR Khalil Shakir

Shakir didn’t have his most explosive game of the season, but it was important to point out how he continued to get open even though Kansas City knew that the ball was coming to him or Dalton Kincaid. Shakir came away from this game having caught 7-of-8 targets for 43 yards, which isn’t going to open any eyes wide-open, but it shows the kind of security blanket he is for this offense.
