(WLUK) — Ahead of tonight’s NFL schedule release, social media is filled with unconfirmed leaks of game dates and matchups.

Some of those have included the Green Bay Packers so far.

One report says the Packers will open the season at home against the defending NFC North champion Detroit Lions.

Another leak has the Packers following up that game with a Thursday night home matchup with Jayden Daniels and the Washington Commanders.

If this leak is accurate, make plans for the Packers to go with your turkey and stuffing. The Packers and Lions are set for their 23rd all-time Thanksgiving Day matchup, according to the report.

Two Packers games are already confirmed for 2025.

Green Bay welcomes the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles to Lambeau Field for a Monday night game on Nov. 10.

The most-played rivalry in NFL history is renewed on Dec. 20, when the Packers travel to Chicago to face the Bears for a Saturday game.

The full schedule is set to be released at 7 p.m.
