The San Francisco 49ers battled the New York Giants on Sunday afternoon at MetLife Stadium, and Kyle Shanahan’s team earned a 34-24 win to improve their record to 6-3 on the season.

San Francisco had a great offensive game against New York, scoring more than 26 points for the first time all year. Thomas Morstead was only called on to punt twice the entire game, with the only other real drive that didn’t result in points ending in a lost fumble.

Heading into Week 10, the 49ers are still seen as a middle-of-the-league teams despite their 6-3 record, which would be good for the sixth seed in the NFC if the season ended today.

Last week, USA Today’s Nate Davis had the 49ers at No. 16 in his Week 9 power rankings following the disappointing loss to the Houston Texans, and after this win, they’ve remained in the exact same spot.

“RB Christian McCaffrey now has 16 career games in which he’s rushed for a TD and found the end zone on a reception,” Davis wrote. “The Niners might need him to have another eight like that this season in order to remain competitive.”

The Baltimore Ravens (No. 15) are the lone team to jump San Francisco from last week to this week, as they moved up from No. 20. With the Los Angeles Rams sitting at No. 1, the 49ers would likely make a significant leap up if they were to win division battle against Sean McVay’s team on Sunday at Levi’s Stadium.
