Players they might target before 4 p.m. today

We’re coming down to the wire on the 2025 NFL trade deadline, and the Lions’ window of opportunity will close at 4 PM ET.

They are coming off a 27-24 loss to the Minnesota Vikings, and after talks of needing to improve execution on third downs, the Lions went 2-for-13 on 3rd-and-4+ and averaged 2.5 yards each play.

Additionally, they have now lost Christian Mahogany to a knee injury.

According to NFL insider Jordan Schultz, the Commanders are open to trading linemen Andrew Wylie and Nick Allegretti, both Superbowl winners.

Kevin Zeitler, who played for the Lions last year, could be a rental option for the Lions as well — however it is worth mentioning that both Zeitler and Allegretti have played primarily right guard this season.

The Dolphins have traded edge rusher Jaelan Phillips to the Eagles, but it has been announced that they’ve made safety Minkah Fitzpatrick available.

Edge rusher Trey Hendrickson is another name that has been tossed around who may be a good fit for the Lions. It is expected that the asking price for Hendrickson would be a first round pick.

According to Jordan Ranaan of ESPN, the Giants have made offensive lineman Evan Neal available for trade.

Other potential options: Cleveland Browns OL Joel Bitonio, Seattle Seahawks edge rusher Boye Mafe, Las Vegas Raiders edge rusher Malcolm Koonce, Arizona Cardinals OL Evan Brown, New Orleans Saints CB Alontae Taylor, New York Jets OL John Simpson, and Seattle Seahawks CB Tariq Woolen.

After Dan Campbell previously stating that the Lions weren’t expected to make a move at the deadline, it is clear that circumstances have most likely changed due to injuries.
