You got a heck of a haul.
I mean, going back to the sauce Garden, you’re getting multiple first round picks and AD Mitchell, the receiver out of Indy, who was the 2nd round pick.
I mean, I asked someone, hey, what did you think that sauce would command?
And they said maybe a 1st round pick and a conditional 3rd that became a 2nd if the Colts went to a Super Bowl.
So a 1st and a 3rd or 2nd, not 21st and a receiver.
You know what it is, it is.
I think he’s good.
It’s a lot.
He’s a very good player.
I think the consensus has been, wow, the Jets got this big haul, but I do want to talk about the Colts here, cause I like it for the Colts.

I’ll tell you why.
The Colts had one big weakness on their team and it was cornerback.
They went and found a cornerback.
I didn’t even think really truly was available because Sosgarter, this is in NFL history.
The youngest player to ever be traded with multiple first-team All-Pro nods on his resume.
So you’re getting a guy, this has never happened before, where a guy this young and this decorated has been traded.
This is not just a one year thing for the Colts.
They’re gonna invest in Sossgarner, he’s gonna be there for the long haul.
These, at least one of these first round picks is gonna be late in the first round.

The the Jets would be very lucky to find the Sosgardner with one of these two first round picks, right?
Like, he is an elite player and it just matched up.
The Colts one weakness.
They really just have one weakness and they filled it.
And I think we get too caught up in draft picks.
The NFL does as a whole, and we buy into this too, that these, these draft picks are gold.
How could you dare trade, how many draft picks, blah, blah, blah.
We’ve seen some teams be like, screw those picks, and do pretty well with it, the Rams.
I think the Colts are in a similar spot right now where we’re, they’re saying, how often are we going to be 7 and 2 leading our division and have a shot at the number one seed in the AFC?

Let’s strike now.
Let’s go get it.
And we’re not just doing this for a rental.
This isn’t just a two month thing with Sassgartner.
We’re gonna have him for a while.
He’s a heck of a player.
He’s got many, many prime years left.
I like it for the Colts.
Everybody’s talking about the Jets side, and I get it.
I look, it’s fine.
They’re restocking, they’re rebuilding, you’re blowing it up and they’re getting a lot of draft picks.
That’s great.
But let’s not forget the Colts part of this.
I think that this does push the Colts closer to being a true, honest Super Bowl contender, because Sousgarter is that kind of an impact player at the one position they needed the most.
