“Stop wishy washing Bo. He’s the best quarterback in his class. Bo dominates his class all them boys.”
That was Aqib Talib speaking on Denver Broncos sophomore quarterback Bo Nix. Speaking on “The Arena: Gridiron” podcast, Talib stated that it’s Nix — not Jayden Daniels, Caleb Williams, or Drake Maye — as the best quarterback from the 2024 NFL draft. Does Talib have a point? Depends on who you ask, but Nix has a leg up in the win department.
Nix is currently 17-9 as a starter, which, compared to the other QBs, puts him ahead of the curve: Daniels is 14-9, Williams is 10-15, and Maye is 10-11. While Nix has had more time on task, he’s still outperforming them in terms of touchdowns (46).
So far, Bo Nix is enjoying his sophomore campaign. Nix has thrown for 17 touchdowns to six interceptions. And while his completion percentage is down from 66 to 61 percent, he is on track to lead the Broncos to their second consecutive playoff appearance. Let’s see if he can build on Talib’s claim that he’s the best QB in his draft class this Thursday, against the Las Vegas Raiders.
