Fantasy Week 10 Waivers: Schultz and Loveland lead the way

USA TODAY Sports’ Jacob Camenker breaks down the top waiver wire targets you should be eyeing ahead of Week 10.

The New York Jets are eagerly awaiting the return of a key crew member.

Garrett Wilson has been sidelined since Week 6 with a hyperextended knee that he suffered in London against the Denver Broncos. The receiver has been tasked with shouldering a big load for the Jets after their offseason makeover, but luckily, help could be on the way.

The team’s trade deadline moves made it clear that Wilson is part of the solution, ensuring he will remain in the green-and-white going forward. It also meant securing some draft picks and especially, receiver help to complement their star.

While Wilson eyes a return, he’ll be doing so with some new teammates in the huddle. Here’s a look at his status for Week 10.

When will Garrett Wilson return?

Wilson returned to practice on Nov. 5 and was listed as a limited participant.

It puts the receiver on track to get back into game action in Week 10 against the Cleveland Browns, barring a setback. Wilson missed the last two games with a knee injury, which he picked up in Week 6.

Wilson was held out through the team’s bye week, giving him an extra week to recover. Notably, the Jets opted not to place Wilson on injured reserve, which would’ve kept him out for at least four games.

Provided he continues to practice without incident, he would be set to join a new-look receiving room that includes a few new additions after the trade deadline.

New York added Adonai Mitchell and John Metchie III during their deadline shakeup, which would give Wilson a lot more support in the passing game that solely relied on him before the knee injury.

Jets WR depth chart

Tanner Engstrand has some more pieces to work with after the midseason deals, but Wilson is still the headliner in what is an unproven room overall.

Mitchell and Metchie should have plenty of opportunity to play though, potentially giving the Jets some pieces that could be of use next season and beyond.
