After the dust settled on the NFL trade window, the Tennessee Titans found themselves with an open roster spot following the trade of Dre’Mont Jones to the Baltimore Ravens. On Wednesday, that hole was filled by safety Jerrick Reed, whom the Titans claimed off waivers from the Seattle Seahawks

After starting his career as a sixth-round selection in the 2023 NFL draft out of New Mexico, Reed got off to a hot start as a rookie with the Seahawks before tearing his ACL and finishing the season on injured reserve. Before injury, he played well enough to be named to the Pro Football Writers of America (PFWA) NFL All-Rookie Team.

Unfortunately, when he returned from an ACL injury in October 2024, he was unable to recapture his rookie performance and was eventually released by Seattle as part of the final roster cuts in August 2025. He then signed to their practice squad before being signed to the active roster on November 1. Seattle waived Reed on November 4.

Reed has seen action in 20 NFL games with the Seahawks and has recorded 18 total tackles (13 solo) on defense and special teams in his career.

The Titans are on their bye week and will return to action in Week 11 against the Houston Texans in AFC South action.
