Atlanta does not have a first-round draft pick in 2026.
If the Falcons can’t find a way to turn their season around, it’s going to be a long offseason in Atlanta. Not only does the team have limited salary cap space due to Kirk Cousins‘ contract, but the Falcons don’t have a first-round pick in the 2026 NFL draft.
Atlanta traded that pick to the Los Angeles Rams during last year’s draft in order to move up for Tennessee edge rusher James Pearce Jr. While the Falcons are happy with Pearce, the fans won’t be happy if the team misses the playoffs.
At 3-5, the team’s chances of making the postseason are slipping away. Even worse, the pick that the Falcons traded to the Rams is looking more valuable by the week. The selection currently sits at pick No. 11 entering Week 10. Instead of dwelling on the past, though, let’s look to the future.
The Falcons hold five picks in the 2026 NFL draft, although that could change after the league gives out compensatory picks. Check out the team’s current selections by round below (NOTE: picks reflect standings in Week 10).

Atlanta may not have a first-round pick in 2026, but the team’s two first-round selections from the 2025 NFL draft have played well thus far. Jalon Walker just received the NFL Rookie of the Week award for his two-sack performance against the New England Patriots.
Pearce has played well too, generating a high rate of pressure despite his modest sack numbers. The Falcons’ other picks have also excelled. Third-round pick Xavier Watts and fourth-rounder Billy Bowman Jr. both won starting jobs out of training camp and have combined for three interceptions through the first eight games of the season.
Watts won the NFL Rookie of the Month award for September. Bowman has missed the last three games but is on track to return in time for Sunday’s game against the New England Patriots.
