After being ejected in last week’s game against the Las Vegas Raiders, Jacksonville Jaguars’ defensive end Travon Walker was fined by the NFL.

Walker was ejected in the second half of the Raiders’ game after throwing a punch at offensive lineman Stone Forsythe following a field goal attempt by Las Vegas.

According to Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network, Walker was fined $12,172 for unnecessary roughness.

After that game, Jaguars‘ head coach Liam Coen was asked about the ejection.

“He responded to what he mentioned was something, and they’re always going to get the second guy and it’s just the way it is and we can’t have it,” Coen said, via ESPN. “We can’t have that. And he knows that.

“Frustrating moment for sure. But those are the things we have to avoid as a team, as an organization because all it does is make us a little bit handcuffed.”

This season, Walker has logged 18 quarterback pressures and two sacks, according to PFF.

As a collective defense, the Jaguars need more steady pass rush production from their front going into the second half of the season.

The Jaguars will enter this Week 10 game ranked 20th in ESPN’s pass rush win rate metric and last in the NFL in sacks.
