The NFL has fined George Pickens for unsportsmanlike conduct after Monday night’s Cowboys-Cardinals matchup at AT&T Stadium.

The league shared the development Saturday as teams prepare for Week 10 of the 2025 season. Pickens was officially fined $17,389 for what the NFL called unsportsmanlike conduct – taunting.

The exact play that resulted in Pickens’ fine took place in the fourth quarter of the Cowboys’ meeting with the Cardinals. With the Cowboys trailing by 10, Pickens made a first-down reception to the Cowboys’ 48-yard line. Instead of Pickens tossing the ball to one of the officials or laying the ball down, he pointed the ball into the face of defender Denzel Burke.

It was very subtle, because Pickens also quickly pointed the ball away from Burke.
