The San Francisco 49ers and Los Angeles Rams will meet on Sunday afternoon at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, after Kyle Shanahan’s team took the first game 26-23 in overtime.

Ahead of the Week 10 contest, the 49ers announced four roster moves, as they placed defensive end Mykel Williams on injured reserve, activated left guard Ben Bartch from injured reserve and elevated defensive end Clelin Ferrell and defensive tackle Sebastian Valdez from the practice squad.

Williams, 21, was San Francisco’s first-round pick in the 2025 NFL draft and had been having a solid rookie season before tearing his ACL against the New York Giants last week. His first year in the league will end with 20 tackles (four for a loss), three quarterback hits, one sack and one forced fumble.

Bartch, 27, takes Williams’ spot on the 53-man roster, as he returns from a high-ankle sprain that landed him on injured reserve after Week 2. He’ll return to the starting offensive line, giving San Francisco their full group up front for the first time since Week 2.

Ferrell, 28, returned to the 49ers last week after one year away which was spent with the Washington Commanders and Los Angeles Chargers. He played against the Giants last week, recording three tackles and a huge sack on rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart. He’ll continue to mix in on the edge, perhaps even more with Williams done for the year.

Valdez, 23, signed with the 49ers as an undrafted free agent this year following a collegiate career split between Montana State (2021-23) and Washington (2024). He failed to make the team out of camp, but he had a strong offseason and preseason. With all of the injuries in the defensive front, he will be helpful in Week 10.
