Two AFC playoff contenders meet on Sunday Night Football in Week 10 when the Pittsburgh Steelers head west for a date with the Los Angeles Chargers. The Steelers are 5-3 after picking up one of the more impressive wins of the season last week by beating the Indianapolis Colts, handing Indy just its second loss of the year. The Chargers started 3-0 but are 3-3 since and have been less impressive as injuries at offensive tackle and running back have really piled up.Â
What both teams have, however, is stability at quarterback, with future Hall of Famer Aaron Rodgers under center for Pittsburgh and Justin Herbert starting for Los Angeles. Rodgers is completing 68.7% of his passes with 17 touchdowns and five picks after a tough two-year stretch with the New York Jets, while Herbert has a 67.7% completion rate with 18 touchdowns to eight picks, as well as 305 rushing yards and a score.Â

Passing yards props
Justin Herbert: 257.5 (Over -113, Under -111)
Aaron Rodgers: 217.5 (Over -111, Under -113)
Top pick: Justin Herbert Over 257.5 passing yards (4 stars)
Herbert is averaging just above 265 passing yards per game this season, and the model likes him in this matchup against a Steelers defense that’s been horrible against the pass this year, projecting Herbert to pass for 290.3 yards. Herbert has cleared the 257.5 line four times this season.
Passing TDs props
Justin Herbert: 1.5 (Over -165, Under +129)
Aaron Rodgers: 1.5 (Over -106, Under -120)
Top pick: Aaron Rodgers Over 1.5 passing touchdowns (3.5 stars)
The model likes Rodgers in the touchdowns department on Sunday, with a projection of 2.3 passing scores. The veteran QB has tossed two or more touchdowns in five of eight games this year, and the Steelers have only five rushing touchdowns on the year, so pretty much all their scoring has come through the air.Â
Pass attempts props
Justin Herbert: 35.5 (Over -111, Under -115)
Aaron Rodgers: 32.5 (Over -122, Under -105)
Top pick: Justin Herbert Under 35.5 pass attempts (3 stars)
The model doesn’t have a particularly strong lean with either of these lines, and it’s taking Herbert’s Under with a projection of 33.3. Herbert has gone Under 35.5 passing attempts five times in nine games, and he’s had 29 or fewer attempts in each of his last two games.Â
Pass completions props
Justin Herbert: 23.5 (Over -112, Under -114)
Aaron Rodgers: 22.5 (Over -101, Under -126)
Top pick: Aaron Rodger Under 22.5 completions (3 stars)
The model favors Rodgers’ Under just a hair here with a projection of 22.4 completions. Rodgers has gone Over this line three times in eight games this year, but all three of those Overs have come in the Steelers’ last three games.
